This large museum reveals the history of Changsha through over 20,000 exhibits, which include a number of rare Shang Dynasty artifacts such as a Bronze Biannao, a Bronze Danao (both musical instruments), and a copper sword and scabbard. It also has a stone tablet on the western wall commemorating Chairman Mao and the date of his birth, alongside several poems and pieces of prose written in Chairman Mao's calligraphy.
