The White Pagoda Temple was originally built by Genghis Khan during the Yuan Dynasty. The 17-meter-tall edifice was rebuilt and expanded during Ming and Qing dynasties. White from top to bottom, with a hint of green, the beautiful pagoda symbolizes purity. It was first opened to the public in 1959, and has since become a major tourist attraction in the area.
