Undoubtedly Hangzhou's most famous restaurant, Louwailou is situated on Solitary Island in West Lake. The restaurant is fairly ancient itself, having opened in 1848. West Lake Vinegar Fish (xihu cuyu) is the house special, but all of Hangzhou's regional specialties can be found on the menu. English menus are available. The average price is about RMB 100 per person.
