Located at the southernmost tip the Liaoning Peninsula, and looking out over the Yellow Sea, the Jinshitan Golden Pebble Beach Scenic Area is located approximately 60 km northeast of Dalian. Natural attractions include its white, sandy beaches and rock formations. Leisure activities include a golf course, a yacht club, an amusement park and a hunting ground (see full list).
The resort's 4-kilometer-long beach winds along the coastline. Strangely shaped rocks resemble animals, plants, or anything the mind can imagine. Visitors should plan to stay at least four hours, but many decide to stay the day.

Getting There: Take the bus to Jinshitan behind Dalian Railway Station on Jianshe Street. Buses depart at regular 40-minute intervals from 6:40 am to 4:00 pm.
Take the light rail from the railway station. Price: RMB 8; duration: about one hour.
