As the largest public library in the province, Fujian Library has over 2.50 million volumes in its vast collection. The library has domestic publications related to Fujian politics, economics, science, culture and education as well as foreign publications in English, Japanese and Russian. The library also collects Taiwanese research books and the collection of literature dealing with modern Chinese history and Fujian province are of national academic research standards. The library's old site (28 Dongjie, Fuzhou) is now the Children's Library Branch.
