Situated within Zhongshan Park, Yinchuan Zoo is a small attraction housing around 500 animals of 76 species. The zoo may be small, but the animals are impressive, including Siberian tigers, brown bears and African lions. Animals from the Helan Shan region may be the most interesting to western visitors, though, and one should seek out the Henlanshan mountain goats, snow cocks and Chinese desert cats.
