The lovely Shuzhang Garden is split into two sections: the Bushan, which sits against the hill and Canghai which faces the sea. The garden has many features, accessible from the Nine-Bend Footbridge which zig-zags across the park over rock-island, guiding visitors through the best views. The park has many rare plants, fishponds and yellow-sand beaches. The garden was based on the famous Banqiao garden in Taiwan. It is also home to the Gulangyu Piano Museum, which houses over 100 rare and precious pianos. There is also a teahouse where visitors can take refreshment, or simply soak up the sun and the cool sea breezes.
