The Wuxi Industrial and Commercial Association, also called the Wuxi Chamber of Commerce, is a people's organization and non-governmental chamber of commerce which is a bridge among people, businesses and the Government and an assistant of the government to manage the non-public economy.

At present, Jiangyin City, Yixing City, Binhu District, Xishan District, Huishan District, Chong'an District, Nanchang District and Beitang District have all established Industrial and Commercial Associations (Chambers of Commerce). At the end of 2006, there were 13,327 members in various levels of commerce chambers including 8,766 enterprise members. In the 50 years since its establishment, the Wuxi Chamber of Commerce has made an excellent contribution to the economic and social development in Wuxi. It has widespread contacts and cooperation with overseas industrial and commercial circles and societies and has joined the Chamber of Commerce of the Chinese People consisting of more than 60 Chinese chambers of commerce. It has also signed friendly cooperation contracts with 11 overseas chambers of commerce such as the Thailand Chinese Chamber of Commerce and the US Boston Chamber of Commerce. In recent years, it has promoted more than 10 joint venture projects and introduced US$100 million in foreign investment to Wuxi.
