Tianjin was at one point in history colonized by a number of foreign powers, and each left a legacy of foreign architectural styles behind. Travelers can go to Munan Dao in the south-central part of the city, or Jiefang Lu, where most of the buildings have a European architectural style. Visitors can take a horse-drawn carriage through the area during the summer time. They are advised to negotiate the price first.
