Description

Support a charity by learning how to bake traditional French Pastries!

Shanghai Young Bakers is a charity program providing a free one-year training in French bakery to disadvantaged Chinese youth aged 17-23 (www.shanghaiyoungbakers.com).

In order to fundraise for the program, Shanghai Young Bakers offers half-day public baking classes, taught by SYB teachers.
On May 24th, you will have the opportunity to learn everything about the secrets of the most famous icons of French pastry: macaroon and meringue lemon pie!
During 5 hours, you will learn what makes macaroons so unique, and how to prepare a delicious tart with a subtle blend of sour lemon and sweet meringue.

This class is a great opportunity to get to know more about SYB and to directly see the outcome of your donation. All proceeds will go to our charity training and help us empower more underprivileged youth through French bakery!

When: Saturday May 24th, from 10am to 3pm
What: Macaroon and meringue lemon pie.
Where : Suide Road, Putuo district
How much: 500RMB/person for the class + 100RMB for the home-made lunch option (delicious quiches, salad, desert, fruits and beverages). If we have more than 10 participants for the class, every participant gets lunch for free!

If learning French pastry while supporting a charity sounds great to you, please contact us for more information!
