Nanning Library is located near Yongjiang No. 1 Bridge and Nanning Theater and established in May of 1977. In 1998, the library's reconstruction was completed in order to accommodate its expanding collection comprised of folk-custom documents and Southeast Asia historical documents. During its inventory phase in 2005, it was calculated that the library has grown substantially and currently has 486 thousand volumes.
