Located on the east side of the mid-section of the second ring road, which is the center of the new government complex of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the political consultation building and the new government building of Hohhot, the Inner Mongolia International Exhibition Center is in an advantageous location with convenient transportation. The land area of the center is 60 hectares (150 acres) with a planned architectural area of 1.57 million square meters. The center now occupies 10 hectares, with an architectural area of 55,000 square meters, leaving plenty of room for growth. It has many functions such as for high-level conferences, exhibitions, recreation and entertainment. Facilities include the conference center, exhibition center, square and outdoor exhibition field. The first and second floors are multifunctional exhibition halls and a large-scale theater; the third floor is for conferences, catering, a luxurious multifunctional hall and a small-scale theater. The Center cost 470 million RMB to build. After its construction, the center filled in the gap for the need of a large-scale exhibition center in Hohhot, which will greatly improve the investment promotion environment, exchanges and cooperation in trade, culture and information.
