Chongqing Library is considered the center for exchange of information and documents in Chongqing. This comprehensive public library was originally founded in 1947 and named after Theodore Roosevelt. Originally, the library was named "National Roosevelt Library", but now it is known as Chongqing Library. When it was originally establishment, it was one of the 5 National libraries in China. There are many important educational and historical documents preserved at this institution in hopes to have an exchange of information for those that want to learn about the enriched culture and history of China.
