These days, with the World Cup in full swing, you’re hard pressed to find a seat either outside or inside. But the outside seating is ample, and as probably the most popular Anglophonic hangout in Chengdu, you’ll never be at a loss for someone to toast with. Currently, weather-permitting, they have a large screen set up for the game out on the patio, as well as several inside. When not in the midst of football frenzy, Shamrock’s will often play host to one of Chengdu’s several homespun expat bands or popular local Chengdu groups like the Boss Ma Band. There’s even a crazy guy who practices his Elvis on unsuspecting travelers.
