Located on the banks of the Yijin River, Qingyang Palace was constructing during the Tang Dynasty, when religion was flourishing in China. Look closely at the goats located outside of Sanqing hall and you'll see one of them is actually an odd, Dr. Doolittle-esque conglomeration of animal parts – twelve kinds of animals representing the 12 signs of the Chinese zodiac. Ancient Taoist scriptures and sutras also on display.
