The Wangjiang Tower Park is dedicated to one of the most revered Tang Dynasty poets, Xue Tao. Though much of her work was lost, we have more of Xue's work than any other poet from this time: over 100 individual pieces of work. Her poetry is Taoist, and focuses on the Taoist principles of simplicity, nature and spontaneity.
The park has been planted and built up with the ideals of Xue's poetry in mind. Inside the park there are a number of towers, most famously: Chongli Tower, Yinshi Tower and Zhoujing Tower. The Zhoujing Tower is a colorful intricately decorated building and is built in a very ususual architectural style, the lower two floors being square and the upper two being hexagonal.
