South Beauty is an upscale and ambitious chain of restaurants that has broken out of Beijing where it got its start and seems bent on world domination. The food is nominally Sichuan, though there isn't really a South Beauty signature style - the name is a brand and a marketing vehicle. This Chengdu outlet carries on the South Beauty tradition of well-presented food served with a good deal of hauteur by snazzily-uniformed staff.
