Beijing BISS International School was founded in 1994 by its sister school, International School Singapore (ISS), as an independent proprietary, co-educational, English-language day school offering an international curriculum for Kindergarten to Grade 12 students from the expatriate community of Beijing. The 11,000 square meter campus is close to central Beijing and the Asian Games Village.
Nearly 400 students from 42 different nationalities attend the School. An active Parent Teacher Association supports the School and its community. The weekly newsletter, Broadcast and a constantly expanding website keep parents informed of school affairs.BISS aims to foster academic excellence in its students, as well as tolerance and understanding of other cultures and beliefs. Extracurricular activities are also emphasized.
