The China (Ningxia) International Festival of Muslim Food and Articles is held by the Ningxia Hui Nationality Autonomous Region People's Government annually. The second festival was held on August 16th, 2007 which resulted in the signing of over 90 projects and introduced over 30 billion RMB of investment capital to the region. The Malaysian Bureau of Muslim Industrial Development signed a cooperation contract for ''Halal'' food certification. During the festival, a series of activities were held such as the Ningxia comprehensive exhibition, Muslim food and articles exhibition, the Ningxia Economic Development Forum, the National Match for Muslim Cooking Skills, the world Muslim forum industrial dialogue and project promotion and trade contacts.
