Investment & Trade Fair for Cooperation between East and West China is held in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province every year. In 1997, the Provincial government stated that there should be cooperation between East and West China in order to encourage harmonious development and increase development via national and international investment.
According to the fair's organizing committee, the fair attracts a large number of companies from 31 provinces, regions and municipalities nationwide and more than 3,000 foreign businesses from over 40 foreign countries and regions. The fair is divided into two areas and hopes to surpass its $ 13 billion USD current investments.
