Description

We are a small family hostel with a different twist on Hosteling, both my wife (Chinese) and I (Yankee), are Traditional Chinese Medicine teachers-healers. We run the hostel in our home. It is not just a hostel but we run it like a traditional Chinese health clinic. Many years ago in China doctors offed their houses as healing centers to the community. Our Hostel is NOT just another place to stay when traveling, but a place of healing. Whether it is neck pain from sleeping on the wrong pillow or a long term issue, we can help! It is located in one of the oldest parts of Xiamen, so you will see the real Chinese way of life in our neighborhood. Only a five minute walk to the ferry port to go to Gulangyu Island and Zhongshan shopping street. We have a large rooftop view of the city and harbor where you can relax and have a cup of local Oolong tea or a coffee and enjoy the view. The hostel has wireless Internet, 3 living rooms and a big community kitchen. We are next to the largest wet markets in China off Kaihe road (开禾路). The market has many streets lined with merchants selling lots of fresh veggies and seafood. You can also eat some the cheapest food in China at many small local eateries.
