This ancient park was first constructed in the Ming Dynasty and not completed until the Qing Dynasty, when the winding streams and beautiful lakes were finished. The park is home to the Thousand Word Building, the Revolutionary Martyrs Monument and a memorial to Dr. Sun Yat-Sen who was the first provisional president of the Republic of China.
