With its granite walls and pillars, this Gothic style Catholic Church was often referred to as ''Stone Church''. Its original construction began in 1863 through the efforts of Chinese workers and French designers and was completed 25 years later. St. Anthony's is the largest stone architecture church in China and Southeast Asia.
