As the country's most authoritative and comprehensive electronics show, the CEF has the longest history, most general categories, most profound influence and the largest scale of all trade fairs on the mainland. The CEF is one of five members of the Asian Electronics Exhibition Conference Confederation (AEECC). It is listed in the top 5 Asian electronics exhibitions. In 2007, the CEF adopted a countrywide strategy and formed three venues for the fair: the Shenzhen Spring Edition, the Shanghai Fall Edition and the Xi'an Summer Edition.
Every year thousands of exhibitors from all over the world display their products ranging from electronic materials, components, equipment, testing instruments, measurement instruments, IC and photoelectric products, to communication terminals, digital products and small household electronic appliance.
Forums pertinent to the electronics industry are part of the overall program, which attracts more than 1,700 exhibitors occupying over 60,000 square meters of exhibition space and over 42,500 visitors, including more that 4,000 overseas visitors from the USA, the UK, Canada, Japan, Korea, Turkey and Iran.
