The Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce, also know as SFIC, is an organization constituted of people from industries and commerce in Shanghai, which connects businesspeople with the government and also helps government manage the non-state economy. Established in 1951, SFIC was the first provincial industry and commerce organization and a member of the Shanghai Political Consulting Committee.

The SFIC has a sound network covering the whole city and also has affiliates in every district and county around Shanghai. The SFIC has also built a network with all federations in every province, city and autonomous region and also has close contact with chambers of commerce in many countries.

The main functions of the SFIC include coordinating and consulting on major issues including politics, economics and social issues for industrial and commercial enterprises, especially private-sector enterprises; execute tasks entrusted by the Shanghai government; represent and protect the benefits of members and provide services; improve contacts and relations with commercial organizations and people to achieve mutual benefit.

hi, we are a major chain store supplier in south africa and we import from almost 80 different chinese companie, we have paid a company in Shaghai the full invoice value for a shipment and they do not want to send us the original documents for clearance, now they are requesting more money in addition to the invoice value and sales contract, how do we resolve

We are a compagny from Burkina Faso in West Afica. You know Burkina and China don't have any diplomatic relationship, so we want organize a business tour in Shanghai (certainly in mars or april) for 15 compagnies from our country. In a few identified sectors.
Can you help us to organize this event ?
We only want the email adress to a member of SFIC for an little help fot join the chinese operators.
