Since its establishment in 1995, ShanghART has gained a solid reputation for the artistic innovation, integrity and high quality of the contemporary pieces it exhibits. Its main gallery, Building 16, comprises a number of smaller exhibits, while the H-Space in Building 18 serves as a ''white-cube'' hall for feature exhibitions and large-scale shows. The gallery's program aims to present innovative works in ways that expose the diverse, multi-disciplinary nature of contemporary culture.
