Although you may think that Shanghai needs another sports bar like you need a hole in your head, The Camel manages to make its mark in the overcrowded jock scene. While the requisite big screen TV's and pub food remain intact, the spacious atmosphere and decent happy hour makes it worth a trip. One minor quibble – for a sports bar, the pool table (which, in reality, is about a third the size of a normal pool table) leaves something to be desired.
good bar if you are an expat looking for the big sporting matches on TV - with the commentary over the loudspeakers as apposed to some Sports Bars in SH who just have bullshit R&B music on the sound system during tfootball matches for instance (!) . Downside of this place is, it gets rammed in there and sometimes it is just too noisy. Outside is awash with beggars. It is not that easy to find on foot but is near Hengshan Road.
