First built in 1920s, this temple is one of the four famous Buddhism temples of Northeast China, (the others being Changchun Banruo Temple, Shenyang Ci' en Temple and Yingkou Lengyan Temple). A site of pilgrimage for Buddhists, the temple also welcomes other visitors from China and abroad.
