There are more and more Irish pubs in Beijing these days but Irish Volunteer is definitely one of the nicest ones. The staff is super friendly and acknowledges the regulars as if they were old friends. Guinness is pricey of course, with 60RMB a pint and everything else is tad bit more expensive than in your average pub, but at least you get the jolly Irish atmosphere with the price.
