Revered as one of the four grand Buddhist temples in Wuhan, Lianxi Temple is the only Buddhist nunnery in the province. The site is renowned not only for its ritual grounds richly adorned with lotus blossoms, but also as a headquarters for Buddhist education. Travelling monks and nuns join other tourists in visiting these hallowed halls, whose architecture resembles that of India.
