Description

Mulan Lake Scenic Area is located approximately 55 km outside of downtown Wuhan in the northern Huangbei District on Shimen Mountain. The area has an impressive lake, verdant hills and numerous natural scenic spots. It is particularly popular among romantics and birdwatchers. On the southeastern lakeshore is an area that some 10,000 herons have made their home. Visitors can go out onto the lake in a speedboat. There are also a couple of hotels in the vicinity.
