Hebei Provincial Library is a comprehensive library established by the Hebei Provincial Government. Originally, it was constructed in 1908 and has undergone several renovations in order to accommodate its collection and its readers. Hebei Provincial Library boasts as being the first one of its kind north of the Yangtze River. The library extensive collection is comprised of Chinese and English-speaking literature. In the library there is a translation center which can provide translation service for readers and the public.
