Description

Shenzhen Safari Park is located in the north of Shenzhen, on the bank of the beautiful Xili Lake. The zoo is the habitat for over 300 breeds of animals including pandas, giraffes, Asian elephants, red-crowned cranes, Siberian tigers, flamingos and much more.

Shenzhen Safari Park is like a pearl amidst the hustle and bustle of a metropolis with green mountains to the north. The zoo occupies 120 hectares (296.5 acres) where all animals are displayed in three areas according to the needs of the animals. Visitors can see Bengal Tigers, Siberian Tigers, South China Tigers, bears, wolves, lions and cheetahs in the Predator Zone. Chinese have a famous saying, 'one mountain cannot have two tigers' ', but in the Chinese Liger Hill, tigers and lions live harmoniously next to each other.

Other famous inhabitants are giraffes, flamingos, zebras, kangaroos, camels, hippopotamuses, swans and pandas, which can be found in the Vegetarian Zone. The area has one of the largest swan lakes in all of China. In order to appreciate these wonderful beasts, visitors cross the lake by boat and observe these graceful floating beauties up close.

Most visitors also watch animal performances including the red orangutans performance, parrot playing cashier and elephants playing as porters. All performances are daily with at least 10 performances a day.
