The American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai (AmCham Shanghai) is a non-partisan, non-profit business organization established in 1915. AmCham Shanghai represents 1,500 companies and 3,500 individual members and is growing by an average of 80 new members per month. They are committed to the principles of free trade, open markets, private enterprise and the unrestricted flow of information.
The Mission of AmCham is to support the success of its members by promoting a healthy business environment in China, strengthening U.S.-China commercial ties and providing high-quality business information and resources.
Services of AmCham include the corporate visa program, medical benefits program, training programs and a full spectrum of general business and industry-specific conferences, workshops, training sessions and speaker events featuring local and global business leaders. It can help it members get front-line information on China's business environment and industry and speak directly to government entities on business issues.
