Ming Palace is considered the blueprint for Beijing Palace, which consists of the Imperial City and Palace City but commonly referred to as the Imperial Palace. Ming Palace is situated in the southeast of Nanjing City. Originally the palace was Zhu Yuanzhang's imperial palace during the Ming Dynasty , but destroyed during the reign of the Qing Dynasty . Prior to crumbling to ruins, the palace was a splendid structure and a great example of dynastic life of the Ming Dynasty.

The remained ruins are the foundation and columns of the original palace complex.
