Often dead on weekdays but busy on weekends with a mix of students and businessmen. Though Castle Bar is basically your average pub, the owners are not afraid to go outside the box, and occasionally host DJs and bands playing electronic dance music, indie rock, electro-punk, abstract hip hop, IDM, drum-n-bass, breakcore, synthpop, electroclash, ambient, minimal, techno, etc. This is not, however, the norm. Pool table, decent drinks, and reasonable prices.
