The Mingjiao Temple is a protected landmark that is over 1300 years old. Built during the Tang Dynasty and renovated in the 16th century, it was partly destroyed during the Cultural Revolution, but restored in 1991. The 6 RMB admission is worth it to see the 30 plus statues housed in the halls, and to hear the temple bells ringing. There is also a good vegetarian restaurant built next door.
