The Yuzi Paradise, founded by Taiwanese entrepreneur Mr. Rhy-Chang Tsao in 1998, is an art park devoted to contemporary sculpture and art. The park is located two km off the Guiyang Highway, 28 km south of Guilin city. Covering an area of 534 hectares (1320 acres), it features more than 200 major works by over 100 artists: many of the larger sculptures are displayed on and beside an artificial lake against the backdrop of the mountain landscapes of the Guilin region. The park includes a museum, several galleries, an artists' village, artists' workshops and a modern boutique hotel. Yuzi Paradise has been the scene of a number of major events including an International Sculpture Symposium and International Sculpture Awards, as well as other cultural exchanges and promotional events.
