Description

Scaring yourself silly at a theme park or getting soaked at a water park might not be your idea of fun, so you might prefer the Xiangjiang Safari Park. This is the largest zoo in China, and has one of the widest collections of animals of any zoo in the world. There are 20,000 animals in total, from 460 individual species, including Chinese pandas, koalas from Australia, and polar bears from Norway. There are also 130 white tigers – a product of the park’s breeding program. Believe it or not, they account for half the white tiger population in captivity. Xiangjiang offers daily animal shows, and a safari section in which guests can drive their own cars through some of the habitats.

you can also take the metro. Line 3 has a station named Hanxi Chanlong and an exit that will get you right where they have shuttles to get you to the ticketing booth of the Safari Park. They say 300m but seemed quite a long walk to me...n it was hot so maybe seemed longer....but otherwise a fantastic experience.....But always look at deals when you buy tickets....
