And this is our philosophy. To be “matto” (in Italian, to be a fool or be crazy) is to be out of the ordinary, to break the mold, to amaze you and ourselves, but most of all to give you a unique experience.
We are an Italian restaurant, specifically Neapolitan, but it is not only the land or the traditions that make us different.
At Il Matto, every day there is a new dish, a new creation, a never-ending carousel, a forge from which our tireless Chef brings forth recipes in which fantasy and taste meld in an unexpected balance of flavors. A Chef who seems to be from the great Italian film “Amici Miei” (My Friends), which defines genius as fantasy, intuition, resolution and rapid execution. Choose the products of his genius and you will find little edible masterpieces. at your plate in front of you!
At Il Matto, you will not find lasagne or penne arrabbiata or even spaghetti bolognese. If you are in search of the common, we are sure the city can accommodate you. But if you want to finally escape the ordinary, you are in the right place.
