The Qingyunshan Mountain Scenic Area is located in Linglu Town in the Yongtai County of Fuzhou, 76 km south of Fuzhou and 58km north of Putia and is a key national site. The area encompasses 9 mountains which stretch a kilometer into the sky and 9 rivers flowing through deep canyons as well as Cliffs, valleys, waterfalls and springs which are all available for exploration by visitors.
The best loved of the natural spots on Qingyunshan Mountain include the Jiutian Waterfall Water Curtain Palace (Shuiliangong) - Asia's biggest step-waterfall - and the Yuntian Stone Corridor, which is the highest stone corridor in the Fujian Province, with exceptional views over the surrounding mountain scenery. The corridor is at the Peak of Qingyun Mountain and stretches over a thousand meters along three hills and a steep canyon. It is known as the "impossible passage'': over 7 meters wide in places, it shrinks to less than one meter on some stretches of its winding path. The main spots which can be seen from the corridor include Jisheng Lake, the Longevity Lake, Lingzhi Rock and the fancifully-named ''scholar drying boots.''
Numerous waterfalls are dotted about the whole area, the most well known of which is the majestic Qinglong Waterfall which has a vertical drop of over 80 meters onto rocks and down over a cliff wall where the water hurtles to the ground.
The area around the White Horse Canyon Waterfall has been called the Grandest Canyon in southeast China and has been hailed as a natural oxygen bar for the refreshing quality of the air. Whitehorse Falls are 130 meters high churning with over 10 times the water that flows over Qinglong Waterfall
Getting there: there are buses to the spot every day from Fuzhou West long distance bus station and Fuzhou North long distance bus station.
On weekend, there are special bus lines to the spot at Wuyi Square.
