A great choice for those interested in ancient dinosaur fossils and for an introduction into the bustling sea life around Dalian. Occupying an area of 5,100 square metres, the museum exhibits over 50,000 items, many of which are considered world precious. Besides the marine and plant exhibits, the museum also has an extensive insect display (not for those with insect phobias) and a selection of rock mineral samples from Germany, Japan, Soviet Union and Korea.
