This park is located south of Renmin Square in Changchun city center. The highlight of the park is the “Long March Garden “ which is a miniature model of area covered by the Chinese Red Army's Long March between 1934 and 1936. This garden aims to educate children about the hardship of the Long March, encouraging them to climb the “hill “, and walk across the “grassland “ to experience the army's struggle. The beauty of this scenic spot fails to convey this monumental journey, but succeeds in providing a family friendly day out. The park's flower exhibition hall is another interesting draw – the clivia in particular is very popular.
