The first China Model Expo was held in 2001, organized by the China Enterprises Association for Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, the Aero Sports Federation of China (ASFC) and the North International Exhibition Co. Ltd. The aim of the Expo is to supply trade opportunities and a business platform for exhibitors. Models displayed at the expo include model aircraft, spacecraft, scale model cars, radio-controlled models, model engines, electric motors, fuels, batteries, model construction materials, model books, magazines and accessories. Enterprises from more than 80 countries such as Japan, America, Britain, Korea, Hong Kong and other regions participate in the expo.
