Haicang Wildlife Zoo is situated in the Haicang area of Xiamen. It is home to a collection of around 1200 native and exotic animals. Those indigenous to China include pandas, red-crowned cranes and black bears, whilst zebras, gazelle, antelope, kangaroo, ostriches and white tigers are among the animals representing the rest of the world. The park is also engaged in a variety of research activities with the aim of protecting and preserving endangered wild animals.
