The Piano Museum in Xiamen situated inside the Tiangtao Pavilion is exactly what one would think: a large and varied collection of rare pianos. It was put together by Mr Hu Youyi, and was once the largest privately held collection of pianos in the world, but is now open to the public.
Gems of the collection include a gold-plated piano, an ancient 8-pedal piano, an antique hand-powered organ and the oldest four-corner piano. It has been visited by famous pianists and conductors from around the world.
Getting There: T2, 3, 4, 10, 11, 12, 25 (take to Ferry port, then transfer to a ferry to the Gulangyu Island)
