Clay figurines have been produced in Huishan since the Southern Dynasties Period (386-581) and are now the most well-known of all folk arts in Wuxi, famous for their bright colors and vivid imagery. The museum exhibits over 1000 clay figurines dating from the Ming and Qing Dynasties right through to the present day.
