Description

The Window of the World theme park is situated in the Overseas Chinese Town. All of the world's architectural masterpieces are built to scale within the park. There are many reproductions of famous sites from across the globe including Mahamuni Pagoda of Rangoon, the Angkor Wat of Cambodia, Eiffel Tower, Leaning Tower of Pisa, and tower of London.

The miniature Roman Coliseum will take visitors back to the time of the gladiator. For those interested in enjoying the surrounding scenery, a gondola ride along the Venice canal replica is a must.

Africa's mysteries such as the Pyramids and the Sphinx command much of the scenery dedicated to the African continent. Immediately after African replicas, visitors will enter South Pacific splendors such as the Sydney Opera House. The Americas are represented by two major sites: Niagara Falls and the Grand Canyon. Modern America replicas include the island of Manhattan, with Central Park and Empire State Building perfectly replicated.

One of the best times to visit is during the following festivals: Cherry Festival (late March, early April) and Indian Cultural Week (May). Both festivals have their own distinctive flavor with the first celebrated by drinking tea as it is traditionally done in the Cherry Gardens of Japan. In the summer, Window of the World is also the venue for the International Beer Festival. The festival is held on China's National Day (October 1) and considered one of Shenzhen's biggest summer attractions. Naturally, in December, Santa Claus makes a stop in Shenzhen to celebrate Christmas. And the World Dance and Singing Gala is held during the Spring Festival.

There are several fun attractions for the adventurer. For example, navigating the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon or visiting an Archery Field like ones used by American Indians did hundreds of years ago. Other activities include cable car ride above a primitive forest and skiing in an Indoor Alpine Ski Run.
