This 88-story landmark is about to lose its status as the tallest building in China, but a visit is nonetheless worthwhile. Located in the Lujiazui area of the Pudong district, the Jinmao Tower is renowned for a superb postmodern design based on the number '8', which symbolizes prosperity. Its state-of-the-art elevator can carry people from the 1st to the 88th floor in 35 seconds. Visitors can enjoy the various restaurants and bars, take in a performance at the Jin Mao Concert Hall, and enjoy panoramic views of the city from the very top of the building.
