Qingdao International Convention & Exhibition Center officially opened in April 2001. The exhibition center has an exhibit area of 50 thousand square meters. It can hold up to 3000 international standard booths and additional outside booths since its outdoors area is 80 thousand square meters in size. The center is the venue for various conferences and fairs including China Fisheries & Seafood Expo, China International Consumer Electronics Show, APEC Small & Medium Enterprises Technology Conference and Fair, National New Special Medicines Fair, China International Marine Exposition and China (Qingdao) International Fashion Week.
